00:02:14 Janet Hoover: Hi everyone! Great to see you guys!
00:02:21 Kate Newnham: HI
00:03:23 Glennette Goodbread: Submitted my package matrix in draft form since the last meeting.
00:04:06 Angela Winter (she/her): Sent the email to my zombie client with really firm boundaries. Haven't heard back yet
00:04:10 Kate Newnham: Awesome Shannon! Win: Finished my welcome presentation for my website… now I just have to record it.
00:05:01 Racheal Graham | GreenHouse Creative: I stopped myself from creating at least 17 new offers this week. 🤪
00:05:05 Janet Hoover: I’ve committed to pay myself consistently each month – it’s not my monthly income goal but it’s something (which I haven’t done on a regular basis) – so for me that’s big!
00:05:17 Lauren N.: Woohoo! Are you somewhere cool? win: i went on shannon’s podcast!
00:05:30 Janet Hoover: Big wins!!
00:05:38 Lisa: I am continuing to do the outreach even when I don't want to and am here even though I am making dinner early so I can watch my daughters basketball playoffs and then run to a networking meeting later. That's the best I've got today, LOL
00:06:00 MoonSoar Services – Courtney & John: Win: We had some quiet time (gasp!) last week. We’ve committing to doing some more marketing this year, and improving our website’s SEO, and came up with over 50 blog post ideas, and have started posting them on our website – one a week for the next year!
00:06:06 Lisa: LOL Racheal
00:06:21 MoonSoar Services – Courtney & John: Oh Janet, that’s amazing!
00:06:31 Leigh: I followed my client intake process for the first time ever
00:06:32 Lauren N.: yes!!! congrats janet!
00:06:32 Janet Hoover: Thank you!
00:06:49 Kate Newnham: Janet – Doesn’t all your money go to you? I’m confused lol
00:06:58 Lisa: Nice job Lauren, can't wait to listen! That is awesome Janet!
00:07:00 Lauren N.: My parents are in destin right now! At their condo lol
00:07:06 Racheal Graham | GreenHouse Creative: Highly recommend selling everything and moving to water
00:07:12 Janet Hoover: It goes in my business account and I have to pay myself from it 🙂
00:07:22 Kate Newnham: Oh. Yeah. I’m not doing that lol
00:07:41 Becky Swan: Did a mindset makeover this week and started doing outreach
00:08:12 Diana Richards: I caught myself in a mind trash tornado earlier and I could break myself out of it
00:08:29 Janet Hoover: That’s huge Diana!!
00:09:22 Glennette Goodbread: Profit First is awesome. I need to commit and really do it.
00:09:34 Kate Newnham: I don’t make that much $$ yet
00:09:37 Melissa Miller: Sent outreach email (Thanks Kate 🙂 to a client for maintenance plan and she says she’s not interested BUT wants a bunch of changes to her website. Going to propose a VIP day even though I’ve never done one yet!
00:10:03 Kate Newnham: Yay Melissa!
00:10:10 Becky Swan: I’m obsessed with YNAB.
00:10:56 Janet Hoover: Nice Melissa!!
00:11:30 Becky Swan: Just that I don’t have to be perfect to put myself out there.
00:11:38 Lauren N.: Woohoo Melissa!
00:12:33 Glennette Goodbread: YNAB is great. I stopped using Xero and just use YNAB. It doesn't give me financial statements so I need to get my cpa to start taking what I put in ynab and creating those.
00:13:32 Lisa: Woo hoo Melissa!
00:13:55 Diana Richards: Becky, YES!!!!
00:14:10 Janet Hoover: Amen to that, Becky!!
00:14:11 Becky Swan: totally
00:14:28 Glennette Goodbread: Page 3 of this pdf is a good summary of Profit First. You don't have to use all the accounts if you use ynab though.
00:14:56 Melissa Miller: Becky – I find that really difficult! Nice mindset 🙂
00:14:58 Glennette Goodbread: https://s3.amazonaws.com/mikemichalowicz/Website-Resources/Profit-First-One-Sheet-and-Overview+(1)+(1).pdf
00:15:17 Becky Swan: Glennette that’s what I do too, with YNAB
00:15:47 Mariela Cabezas | Web Designer – soulbusinessdesign.com: Hi everyone
00:15:48 Glennette Goodbread: Reacted to “Glennette that’s wha…” with ❤️
00:16:54 Kate Newnham: Thanks for that Glennette!
00:16:55 Mariela Cabezas | Web Designer – soulbusinessdesign.com: I *just* received a new inquiry for a consultation right this minute!!
00:17:00 Kate Newnham: Hi Mariela 🙂
00:17:21 Janet Hoover: Nice, Mariela! And, thank you Glennette!
00:17:23 Lauren N.: Congrats Mariela!
00:17:25 Mariela Cabezas | Web Designer – soulbusinessdesign.com: Hi Kate!
00:18:22 Mariela Cabezas | Web Designer – soulbusinessdesign.com: Thank you guys. I think the energy in this group is amazing. Good things happen when I join the calls.
00:19:41 Melissa Miller: Manifesting Mariela!!!
00:19:48 Kim Stone: I tend to forget that its ok to learn with each new project
00:20:07 Glennette Goodbread: All the profit first resources are here:
https://mikemichalowicz.com/free-resources/
00:20:21 Racheal Graham | GreenHouse Creative: I wouldn’t know half of what I know today if I had waited to learn the right stuff before I started the work.
00:20:33 Glennette Goodbread: What I do is give them ten quick wins.
00:20:56 Lauren N.: This question is so fitting Angela! I’m giving a presentation tomorrow and they want me to give strategy/feedback about their websites afterwards. So I know the feeling, you are the expert!!
00:21:10 Lauren N.: Keep us posted on how it goes
00:21:26 Glennette Goodbread: With seo factored in, that's usually easy. It could be just three quick wins.
00:22:25 Lauren N.: https://buildingastorybrand.com/reasons-your-website-isnt-working/ maybe some of these could spark some ideas for you!
00:23:25 Kate Newnham: I love that – our job is to take them to the next level, not necessarily a perfect level
00:24:13 Kate Newnham: Omg Lauren – I JUST implemented that – it’s amazing!!
00:24:42 Glennette Goodbread: Love storybrand. This template (loaded on a domain I'm not using yet) would be helpful and goes along perfectly with that blog post about why your website isn't working.
00:26:19 Mariela Cabezas | Web Designer – soulbusinessdesign.com: I’ve based my whole work on Storybrand. I developed my own workbook with prompts for them to fill out for copy for every section, etc. LOVE Storybrand!
00:26:32 Diana Richards: “I don’t have that answer yet, but I have resources and colleagues (aka us) to consult”
00:26:52 Kate Newnham: AND this group knows a lot if you get stuck on the tech
00:26:53 Kim Stone: I have been looking at the StoryBrand strategy. I spent last week building out a template in Kadence. I’m definitely going to look at this one Glennette.
00:27:04 Glennette Goodbread: Me too Mariela. I'm not certified but just recently created a google slide deck that will allow them to give me content that matches that template.
00:28:22 Angela Winter (she/her): Thank you, Lauren!
00:28:29 Janet Hoover: So true, Kate – another reason this group is priceless!
00:28:44 Mariela Cabezas | Web Designer – soulbusinessdesign.com: I guess many of you know this already, but these videos are gold: https://www.5minutemarketingmakeover.com/
00:29:10 Mariela Cabezas | Web Designer – soulbusinessdesign.com: Thank you Shannon!
00:30:05 Angela Winter (she/her): Thank you for all the great resources and support everyone!!
00:32:20 Glennette Goodbread: Just to clarify, some of the wins are really quick i.e. the title for your homepage needs to include the keyword phrase you're targeting for that page at the beginning. They might say “I don't even know what keyword phrase to target” and that leads into pitching seo when I do the proposal. I remind them what they said.
00:36:50 Kate Newnham: Question: What about the difference between the 3 packages? Is there any advice there?
00:38:15 Kate Newnham: It’s because that’s how clients think about it
00:39:33 Mariela Cabezas | Web Designer – soulbusinessdesign.com: Oh, I got distracted, I’m sorry. What was the answer to what percentage should we raise our prices? In case anyone can summarize. Thanks.
00:40:52 Leigh: I charge more of a premium for quicker turnaround times than I do for more deliverables
00:41:43 Glennette Goodbread: I call it a Business Intensive, Design Intensive, or SEO Intensive.
00:42:16 Kate Newnham: It’s hard to do both long term higher price options AND VIP intensives because the intensives ARE less $$
00:42:25 Kate Newnham: So it does end up being a downsell
00:42:54 Glennette Goodbread: It should cost more money because they're getting it faster.
00:43:21 Becky Swan: Make it template based so it’s not custom
00:44:29 Glennette Goodbread: Should I hold off on doing anything else with my package matrix until after you review it?
00:46:36 Mariela Cabezas | Web Designer – soulbusinessdesign.com: Ok got it!
00:47:42 Kate Newnham: Question: What about the difference between the 3 packages? Is there any advice there?
00:47:47 Mariela Cabezas | Web Designer – soulbusinessdesign.com: Thank you Shannon
00:49:36 Racheal Graham | GreenHouse Creative: Add 50% to high end, low end is 50% I think
00:50:32 Mariela Cabezas | Web Designer – soulbusinessdesign.com: My highest package is $12,000 one time fee or $4,600 in 3 installments. But I’m not sure if anyone would hand over $12k just like that 🙈 I’ve never sold it at that price anyway… I have sold my mid level package for $7,500, but not in one payment.
00:50:39 Glennette Goodbread: When you said you could see my package being 15k, were you talking about design and seo and copy or just design?
00:51:52 Mariela Cabezas | Web Designer – soulbusinessdesign.com: Yeah, that’s mind trash, haha..
00:55:47 Lauren N.: I have to hop off early, but thank you Shannon! Have fun in the sun!
00:57:48 Kate Newnham: My VIP package clients are always small businesses of 3 or more. Never Solopreneurs.
01:02:35 Angela Winter (she/her): thank you so much!
01:02:39 Mariela Cabezas | Web Designer – soulbusinessdesign.com: Bye!
