I’m getting 1-4 sales calls per month. Sources are 1 per month from a local directory I’m listed on, the other 3 from networking at local association events and following up. Summer has been slow.

it is. I like socializing and chatting with people and my approach is to just show up, make friends with other biz owners, and try to help connect people. I’m there to plant seeds, not rustle up work. AND I push myself to meet someone new and connect/introduce others.

00:25:52 Tracy Trathen • e design studio, LLC: WIN: [this is a bit long – sorry about that] – That WebCare client I asked the question about last week (reminder: she installed WooCommerce and a whole bunch of other things and messed up her site then deactivated all the stuff she installed to fix it)
Sent a great email to her: First I thanked her for letting me know what happened and I was glad she was able to fix it. Then I cautioned her to check with me about plugins first because a) I can't fix things without charging her (said it very nicely but kept boundaries up), and b) because the host is particular about what plugins are used on their platform and they don't allow everything for various security reasons. And I also offered to send her pricing on ME implementing WooCommerce for her.
Kept boundaries while offering my (paid) help. It felt good because I was able to essentially not feel like I had to take responsibility and fix things for her because it's her site and not my fault if she goes in a changes things without involving me, etc.

I’ve only set up one automation in Moxie thus far (haven’t made time to mess more with it yet)… But I don’t have anything else automated anywhere else… so I can’t answer the rest of that 😉

You should do whatever works for you and your business right now! Moxie is great, but only if you need it. It’s half the cost of Dubsado, which is why I made the switch.

You're welcome. I was about to add, Notion has some incredible features even at the free level. It's a whole-@$$ program and a learning curve, but it might be helpful for automation on a budget.

It’s the only way I’ve really worked so far – But I do a very hands-on experience… but I do have some emails automated, and invoices automated through Moxie… And that works wonderfully so far.

I'm still with Dubsado – I suspect I'm on a legacy pricing plan and I can't face all the recreating of stuff in Moxie, to save a very small amount. Angelica, if you don't yet have a full client load, doing things more manually isn't likely to drag you down too much.

@Angelica Hidalgo , simply writing out some checklists, canned emails, project steps (in any tool) can be a big help … and it will make Moxie / Dubsado / whatever much easier to implement, when the time comes. I still have most of my project processes in a spreadsheet.

Yes!! You can tell it when you're available and not, and it also connects to Google and automatically blocks of anything you've marked as busy/not available.

Yes. You can even include any sub calendars – (I have too many calendars LOL) – and other accounts… i.e. my personal email AND my business email, so it doesn’t schedule at a time I’m supposed to be taking my Mom to the doctor, that sort of thing.
